1. Concept

As a longtime FINAL FANTASY VIII fan since childhood, I always dreamed of being part of SeeD and living inside Balamb Garden. This project started as a way to recreate the Balamb Garden cafeteria experience in real life through a modern themed café concept.
 

Balamb Garden Cafeteria is the first concept of a larger series where I want to reimagine nostalgic fictional worlds through branding, food, events, and immersive experiences — sharing the same emotions and nostalgia that shaped my generation growing up.

what this project shows

Balamb Garden Cafeteria explores how nostalgic fictional worlds can be transformed into immersive real-life experiences through branding, storytelling, hospitality design, and visual identity systems.

​

This project combines art direction, menu design, SNS campaigns, UI concepts, merchandise, and themed food design into one cohesive universe inspired by FINAL FANTASY VIII. Through this concept, I aimed to recreate the emotional nostalgia and atmosphere that shaped an entire generation of players while translating it into a modern experiential brand system.
